Rocket Booster Mechanics

The Vipers season features the first Chinese Rocket Booster-equipped tank, the BZ-176!

Heavy tanks are usually seen taking the brunt of the blows on the battlefield, but they can be slow to get to the front lines or escape danger. This new mechanic will give you the boost you need!

Activating this new mechanic increases the engine power and pushes you to your top forward speed for the next ten seconds. However, steering and reverse capabilities are significantly impacted, which limits your maneuverability.

The boost is available from the start of the match and can be used in multiple ways: escaping potentially dangerous situations, getting into position quickly when the battle starts, crossing an open area to get to cover, and more! It has great potential but has limited uses per match, so choose carefully when activating it.

  • Activate your Rocket Boosters by pressing the corresponding button next to the Rocket Booster HUD display in the lower left.

The Ardennes Offensive was an engagement in December 1944 between American and German forces on the Western Front. This map is based on this historic landscape, featuring a town in the center and the Semois River to the southwest, all surrounded by a mountain terrain.

Additional Improvements

  • Improved AI map positioning strategies across every map and game mode.
  • Made improvements to AI reacting to dynamic changes during the match.
  • Added a new Season Pass background.
  • Added a pop-up confirmation for Custom Games if you didn't save your changes and attempt to back out of the settings.
  • Updated the overheat bar colors to use yellow instead of white.
  • When your gun overheats, the radial callout changes from “reloading” to “cooling down.”
  • Updated the M113 collision model.
  • Cold War’s ammunition panel now displays the Shatter angle instead of Ricochet angle.
  • Enlarged various icons such as Equipment and Consumables.

Issues Addressed

General:

  • Premium tanks no longer become greyed out after inspecting the vehicle in the Premium Tech Tree.
  • Spectator Mode: Moving the camera in Free Cam no longer cycles through the player list.
  • Fire Chance now displays the correct color code and arrow as an improvement or downgrade when comparing engine modules.
  • Stats page sort option text is now vertically centered in the display.
  • “Scout” medal description is now correctly localized in Polish.
  • Pop-up celebration screen now displays the correct % bonus.
  • Corrected the spelling of the Atreides emblem.
  • Monsterjager’s modules are now correctly aligned in the module viewer using the Gantry garage.
  • Fixed an issue where certain users could not assign certain Commanders.
  • Platoon members will now automatically be taken to the garage if, while they are viewing the PBRS, the platoon leader changes game modes.
  • Autocannon firing effects no longer get stuck on in various situations.

  • Marder 1A1: Exhaust VFX for the ATGM now shoots out of the rear of the launcher.
  • Marder 1A3: Exhaust VFX for the ATGM now shoots out of the rear of the launcher.
  • Czołg P wz.46: Corrected the color of the treads to be lighter.
  • Panzerwagen 39: Flagpole is now straight.
  • Type 5 Chi-Ri: Turret and barrel no longer duplicate when destroyed.
  • AMX 40: Now has the correct number of roadwheels.
  • TR-580: Adjusted the hull armor to replace a 30mm section with an 80mm section.
  • Turm III: Corrected the gun audio for its caliber and the placement of the secondary weapon in the armor/module viewer.
  • ELC EVEN NA2 SS-12: Turret now rotates within the turret ring when the Skin is equipped.


Maps:

  • Nebelburg (Small): Truck bed elements now render correctly at J4.
  • Vineyards: No longer a house inside of a house at K4.
  • Dezful: Collision on the oil rigs now matches the visuals.
  • Karelia: Tree is no longer placed inside of a rock at G3.
  • Nomonhan: Added a rock at F3 to prevent players getting stuck.
  • Safe Haven: Added a missing rail cart carrying containers at C0.
