Back in January, we shared our first Roadmap 2026 update with you, giving you a preview of features, events, and other developments that we’d been working on and were looking forward to bringing into the game starting this year.

Now that we’re approaching the mid-point of the year, we want to share our next roadmap update.

Remember, Commander: All features described are works in progress and subject to change. Images depict works in progress or concepts and are subject to change.

The following items are in their final phase of development, and these features are almost ready to release. Look for them in June and July!

Banners of Valor 2026

BANNERS OF VALOR, a salute to patriotic celebrations around the world, returns to World of Tanks Modern Armor on June 30th. Join this limited-time event with all the duty, honor, and bravery of a true tank commander.

Earn special Flag Currency through battles, challenges, and events. Unlock mighty tanks and more rewards inspired by the rich histories of nations, united by alliances and heroism.

Marks of Excellence progress display

Starting in our next season, your progress toward achievement Marks of Excellence on each vehicle will be displayed on the post-battle results screen. The bottom-left portion of the results screen will now show information about your current damage standing, and the next level you need to reach.

Switzerland arrives in WoTMA!

For the first time in many years, we’re introducing a brand-new tank nation to World of Tanks Modern Armor: Switzerland. We plan to release a full Tech Tree of light and medium vehicles from Tier I to Tier X in World War II mode. We'll release more details about the Swiss line closer to it's launch date but for today, here's the list of vehicles and their tiers.

IN DEVELOPMENT

These are features that are being created, iterated, and improved. Our development team has dedicated resources to bringing this content into the game, but timelines and specifics are still subject to change.

New VO, Audio & FX

Keep your ears open for our new shell impact audio system. Bigger hits and more information for you in battle are coming soon! In addition to new impact audio we are also updating our default Male and Female commander audio with new performances, providing more clear info about what is happening to your tank in battle, and fewer distractions from audio lines concerning events that are not in your view.

Metal Fest 2026

It’s back. It’s big. It’s louder than ever. METAL FEST returns to World of Tanks Modern Armor for 2026. This year features two new bands, both ready to blow your ears off. Look forward to the full reveals later in August.

Sails Again!

You've asked for it and we listened. TogBoat mode returns this year, better than before. Ready those cannons and enjoy the floating Togboat vs. Togboat action come this September.

UNDER EXPLORATION

Under Exploration refers to new ideas and goals we are discussing among the development team. These ideas are being considered, but we haven’t completed any final designs or scheduled specific tasks related to them.

Wheeled Vehicle updates

We have already started rolling out updates to our wheeled vehicles in game. Our WWII mode line of French wheelies now have updated handling and drive feel. We have also made significant strides in movement finesse and general drive feeling, they move much better! While there's still more to do, we're excited these vehicles have received some much needed love. Plus it paves the way for new releases in the future...

Rocket Dispersion

Currently, ATGM launchers are not affected by dispersion or gravity, and since unguided rockets are built on top of the ATGM system , they aren't either. This creates a inconsistency within the game - why are shells affected by dispersion, but not unguided rockets? Additionally, in real life ATGMs are typically fired while stationary or at extremely low speeds, and rockets are typically less accurate than shells from a rifled gun.

While we are not looking to perfectly simulate the real-world, we do want to continue to improve game feel and mechanical consistency. To that end we are reviewing how Rockets fire and looking at how we can apply dispersion similar to fired shells.

New Soviet Tech Tree

Another Soviet tech tree is in the works for WWII mode. We think you'll be super interested in this one. We enjoy seeing everyone speculating on new tech trees over in the Discord. Join up and get in on the conversation!
