As part of the former nation of Czechoslovakia, Slovakia had in its possession several T-72M units that had been produced under license. The T-72M2E was a proposed upgrade. It featured several modifications including explosive reactive armor (ERA), a laser warning receiver, and a new VEGA fire control system (FCS). Although prototypes were built, the Slovakian Army never accepted it for service.
