Tank origin
Developed in the summer of 1944 by the Construction Bureau of the Kirov Plant (Leningrad). In the fall of 1944, the prototype underwent trials, but never entered mass production nor saw service. The Hydra received further upgrades by mounting a more powerful 122 mm BL-13 gun and improved armor.
