After work began on the FV4201 Chieftain in the early 1950s, efforts were made to make the armaments of the FV4201 Chieftain and the American T95 tanks (including their turrets) interchangeable. Among the combinations considered was a British 120mm bag charge gun mounted to a T95 turret.
