Tank origin
Škoda had developed a prototype 75mm A18 gun with a five-shell automatic magazine, which it intended to use on the T 25 medium tank. However, the T 25 project was abandoned before any vehicles could be manufactured. As a result, the gun remained untested until 1947, when it was mounted to a Tiger I tank recovered from the battlefield.
