Tank origin

The tank project stood out for its armor and firepower, which was top-of-the-range for its time. However, these outstanding characteristics have led to the immense vehicle weight. Chinese engineers took inspiration from the American T28 tank destroyer for the concept of a four-track caterpillar propulsion system. A well-protected machine with a relatively small frontal projection area, the tank surpassed most modern vehicles in terms of protection, but the project turned out to be quite expensive, and no prototypes were built.
