They say that at night, when the midnight hour closes upon the living world like the lid of a coffin, a terrifying beast emerges from the deepest crypts. This hunter prowls the land, sweeping low across the ground in search of lesser beings whose senses the darkness has dulled. It seizes its prey in its sight.
