SPECIAL NOTE: IN-GAME MUSIC FOR IRON MAIDEN AND MEGADETH TANKS

Heads up! As noted in previous articles, our in-game music licenses for Iron Maiden and Megadeth have a time limit. These licenses will expire at the end of the Overlord season.

This means that you have one more week to enjoy songs from Iron Maiden and Megadeth when you select the following tanks in your garage:

ENDING SOON: OVERLORD

You’ve done your duty on the battlefield, but have you claimed every possible reward?

SPECIAL: COLD WAR TERRAIN RESISTANCE TEST

We would like to increase terrain resistance for heavier Cold War tanks to improve gameplay variety.

To that end, for one week starting on July 22, we’ll be running a live test of updates to terrain handling stats on several Cold War tanks:

• Tank Class: Heavy tanks, tank destroyers – see list of tanks below
• Eras: Escalation (Era 2), Détente (Era 3)
• Dates: July 22-28, ending with server restart on Tuesday, July 29
• Maps:
  • Fisherman’s Bay
  • El Alamein
  • Swamp
  • Pearl River
  • Severogorsk
  • Dezful
  • Cao Bang
  • Mannheim
  • Fredvang
  • Nebelburg
  • Azure Coast
  • Vineyards
  • Karelia
  • Siegfried Line
  • Dukla Pass
  • Kaunas
  • Safe Haven

IMPORTANT NOTE! During this week only, the map rotations for Eras 2 and 3 will include only the maps listed above. This will help us get as much testing data as possible.

During this test, Cold War Eras 2 and 3 heavy and heavy tank destroyers will drive and handle more slowly on difficult terrain such as dirt, mud, sand, etc.

Our goal with updating terrain handling for these vehicles is to improve how tank roles affect the battle experience:

• Reduce teams that group up in too-large numbers, rushing forward on the map
• Increase match times to allow time for players to pursue their battle plans
• Support additional strategic gameplay
• Naturally improve light and medium tank roles

Here are the specific vehicles that will have their terrain resistance adjusted FOR THE DURATION OF THIS ONE-WEEK TEST:

War Chests

Regiments: Seasonal Store Items

Once the Overlord season ends, your Regiment Coin balance will be reset. Any unspent Regiment Coins in your account will expire, so spend ‘em while you’ve got ‘em!

Items currently in the Regiment Store are available only to members of a Regiment, only for Regiment Coins, and only while the Overlord season is live (through Monday, July 28th).

Battle Heroes: July 2025

U.S. World War II tanks are the focus of this month’s edition of Battle Heroes. That makes the On Track event for the XM551 Sheridan line even more fun, but any tier and class will count for the Battle Heroes challenge!
