WARRIORS, our latest special event, brings four legendary historical warriors to our battlefields to fight in weekly battle brackets and answer the question: Who’s the greatest military master of all?

Week 1: How to Play

Each week of Warriors, two of our four historical warriors will fight each other as NPCs in event mode battles… but they won’t be battling alone. Your task is to join an event battle and, along with your team, defend the NPC Warrior you’ve been allied with. The first team to defeat all enemies (including the NPC tank) wins the match!

• Team size: 7 (+1 NPC) vs. 7 (+1 NPC)
• Team members are assigned to an NPC randomly

In Week 1, the Habsburgs’ legendary mercenary knight, Georg von Frundsberg, will take on the Qin dynasty’s greatest general, Meng Tian. The winner of this bracket will go on to the final bracket in Week 3!

To join these battles, head to the game’s mode select screen, look for “Warriors,” and choose whether you want to play World War II or Cold War tanks.

(Note: the queues for the World War II battles will be separate from the Cold War battle queues. You will not see players from both modes in the same match.)

You can also use the Warriors shortcut you’ll see in your garage. This shortcut will take you to the Event Battle garage for the mode (World War II or Cold War) you had been in.

Special note: The Week 1 event mode battles will end on Monday, May 18, at 9:59 UTC, not on Tuesday! This gives us time to get the battlegrounds ready for our Week 2 contestants.

Week 1: Community Challenge

Our Warriors event combatants will be dueling on the event mode battlefields, but single battles are only ever part of the larger war. The winner of Week 1 battle bracket will actually be determined through the Warriors Community Challenge!

For the Community Challenge, you will choose one of the week’s two contestants to support. Then, until the battles end on May 18, you can complete goals in your Multiplayer, Co-Op, and event mode battles to earn Honor (a.k.a. points) for your Warrior. The Warrior with the most honor at the end of the week will be the winner, and will go on to the final round of competition in Week 3.

• IMPORTANT NOTE: he Warrior you choose to support for the Community Challenge has NO EFFECT on the NPC team you’ll join if you play a Warriors event mode battle. So, for example, you can choose “Knight” for the Community Challenge and still be placed on a team with the Meng Tian NPC tank in an event mode battle.

To get started with the Community Challenge, head to the “Challenges” tab in the game. There, under “Warriors,” choose either Knight or Qin Ruishi to select the Warrior you’ll support for the week. Choose carefully—your choice can’t be changed!

You’ll immediately be rewarded for your allegiance with the 2D Standard Commander representing your Warrior:

From there, complete goals to earn Honor. You’ll be able to keep track of how much Honor each Warrior’s team has earned on the game’s mode select screen.

• Please note: You must earn at least 20 Honor yourself to receive rewards from the Community Challenge!

Personal Challenges

The event mode battles and Community Challenge will change each week along with the NPC combatants. However, throughout the entire Warriors event, you can also complete your own individual Challenges, because why shouldn’t you earn laurels (and rewards) for chasing your own glory?

The personal Challenges will reward you for using the new Warriors Premium tanks and the Warriors Commanders (including some who will be available in Warriors War Chests) in your Multiplayer, Co-Op, and event mode battles:

Start with two infinitely repeatable Challenges that reward your prowess with Boosters:

Then, take on the Damascus Challenges to earn exclusive Camo Sets for your vehicles by playing the Warriors Premium tanks. You must complete the standard version of the Challenge four times to unlock the “Permanent” Challenge.

• Take note: completing the “Permanent” Challenge will permanently unlock that Camo Set for all tanks on your account, across all map environments. This is no small reward!
