NEW SEASON: DARK REALM

The grim darkness is around us as the roots of evil slowly spread across the land, trying to cross into the realm of light. You have only one way to stop this: arm yourself and prepare to fight!

There’s no better way to prepare than picking the Dark Realm Ultimate Season Pass. The Vz. 68 Squall is ready to unleash an overwhelming amount of firepower on anyone who gets in its way. But don't forget the Season Pass level 100 reward, the M-55S, which comes dressed to impress with its ERA-covered turret and front hull. It's ready to throw down and get into the fight!

This season is packed with quality-of-life updates, starting at the game launcher and reaching all the way to the map borders. Of course, there will also be plenty of tricks and treats coming throughout the length of the season.

Banners

Regiments can now create a Banner within the Manage Tab. You'll be able to select a Shape, Pattern, Insignia, and Color.

Regiments can now add Traits.

  • For existing Regiments, settings will default to all Traits. To adjust your Regiment’s Traits, go to the Regiment Tab -> Manage Tab -> Edit Details.

QUALITY OF LIFE UPDATES

Commander Skills, Equipment, and Consumables Updates

As previously announced in our most recent quality of life article, we shared the proposals for what we planned to change and how, gathered feedback on these proposals, and made additional changes. Now, these updates are ready to roll out!

  • We are continuing to explore new Skills, new Equipment, and further adjustments to the implemented Skills, Equipment, and Consumables based on player feedback. We look forward to hearing your ideas and feedback on these systems.
  • If you have a voucher for one of the Equipment items being merged, the voucher will be transferred to the new Equipment item.

Commander Skills

  • The Commander's Skill panel has been updated to include its inherent Sixth Sense ability for all existing and any new Commanders.

  • Any trained Skills that still exist will still be on your Commander.
  • If your Commander had a Skill that has been combined with others to create a new Skill, your Commander will automatically have the new Skill.
  • If your Commander had any Skills removed due to this update, that Skill slot will be open.

Tank Equipment

  • Enhanced Target Info Equipment has been removed and is now a default ability that comes with your tank.
  • If your tank had Equipment that has been combined with others to create new Equipment, your tank will automatically have the new Equipment.
  • For any purchased Equipment that has been removed, players will receive 100% of its value back.

Cold War Adjustments

  • In addition, to support these changes, Cold War Mechanics will see the following adjustments:
    • Default spotted time duration: 5s-> 10s
    • Auto-spot distance: 35m -> 50m
    • All four Equipment slots are available by default and no longer get unlocked through the tank's upgrades.

Launcher Update

The launcher received a small but useful quality-of-life update: your currently selected server is now visible without having to open the server display.

This lets you quickly see which server is selected, which is especially useful for those who often switch servers. We have also updated the text from "Select Server" to "Change Server" to make it clearer that this is an optional action and not a mandatory selection.

Map Border Update

We all know that when you’re in the middle of battle, it can be hard to keep track of where the map border is until you run into it. In this update, we have added a new feature to improve the map border visibility.

As you approach a map border, a transparent red wall will appear and become more visible as you get closer to the border.

Updated Booster Menu Update

The previous Booster menu was outdated; it had unclear resupply options, and the Boosters required a lot of scrolling to view the various types of Boosters.

We have cleaned up this menu with a more compact Booster display to support a larger number of Boosters before you need to scroll, improved information on Boosters, and a clearer resupply toggle for Inventory or Gold.

HUD Update

  • Multi-turret HUD and weapon mechanics:
    • We have updated the HUD for multi-turret vehicles to provide improved information on the weapon status of each turret. Each weapon now has a reload bar displayed on the HUD. This allows you to easily view each weapon's status without needing to look at the bottom of the screen.
      • Your primary turret's main weapon will always be displayed on the left side, with any other turrets' weapons represented on the right side.
      • The size of the reload bar will reflect the weapon's size. If the weapon on the other turrets is of a smaller caliber, it will have a smaller reload display.
      • A yellow chevron will point to the reload bar of the currently selected turret/weapon.
      • The inactive weapons X crosshair will be greyed out.
  • Multi-turret vehicles now have "All Fire" mode:
    • All Fire allows you to fire all loaded guns when you pull the trigger.
    • You can access "All Fire" by pressing the "Alt Mode" button, which is the left button on the D-pad by default.
    • Enabling All Fire will fire all weapons when you pull the trigger.
  • New alternate mode icons:
    • We have added some new icons to better communicate and display various driving and firing modes.

We are updating the terrain resistance on maps to ensure that the soft, medium, and firm values more accurately reflect the map's visuals.

General:

  • M/KB: Addressed the performance update while navigating the Challenge Tab.
  • Addressed several mouse navigation issues within the following areas:
    • Booster menu
    • Assignment menu within the Commanders tab
    • Commanders within the Loadout tab
    • Scoreboard within the Post-Battle Results Screen
  • Players will no longer receive an incorrect "Regiment Created" notification when their application is accepted.
  • The large overview map is now the correct size in Replay and Spectator views.
  • Addressed an issue where switching from the event mode to another mode caused various UI elements to display incorrectly
  • Spamming the discharge button no longer causes a soft lock.
  • When a player is removed from a Regiment, the notification given to the player now reflects this correctly.
  • Added scroll support to the Regiment stats to support displaying eight-digit battle counts.
  • While in the tutorial, the RB/LB buttons now work correctly after viewing the Regiments tab.
  • Added scroll support to the Regiment challenge text to prevent overlapping.
  • Water trails created by tank tracks can no longer be seen through a smokescreen.
  • Pause paging now works when the event shortcut is active in the garage.
  • The event shortcut is now hidden once a tank is selected while in a platoon.
  • Premium tanks with assigned Commanders now correctly appear in the reel when the Commander filter is selected.
