Welcome the Bardelas 60mm HVMS

In 1977, the Italian design firm OTO Melara and the Israeli Military Industry began work on a joint project for a 60mm infantry support gun that could be mounted on lightly armored vehicles. The cooperative venture fell through partway through development, however, which resulted in each company pursuing its own version of the design. Israel tested its version, the High Velocity Medium Support gun (HVMS), on such vehicles as the M113, known as the Bardelas, but did not accept it for service. Instead, it exported the gun system to Chile, which mounted it on vehicles that it had in its own fleet, including the M24 Chaffee.

This Regiment-exclusive vehicle has excellent penetration, pinpoint accuracy, and high shell velocity for a 60mm gun. Plus, its lower alpha damage is compensated by an incredibly fast reload time, boosting its DPM to as much as 4,000. These qualities allow the tank to excel as a long-range fire support vehicle.
