¡Viva Argentina!

During the 1970s, Argentina’s army collaborated with West German engineering firm Thyssen Henschel to develop a lightweight tank with a large-caliber gun, a vehicle that could master the South American terrain.

Now, in honor of Argentina’s Flag Day on June 20, we’re bringing this tank straight to you in the game. Say hola to the game’s first Argentinian tank, the Tanque Argentino Mediano Escalation Era (Era 2) Independent Light Tank, also known as the TAM!

Gameplay Tips

Don’t be deceived by the mediano in the name. Our version of the TAM is indeed a light tank, with matching forward and reverse speeds of 75 km/h. No matter the physical features of the land, every map is yours to scout and explore.

But you’ll also see influences of heavy-hitting main battle tanks, specifically the Leopard 1, when it comes to this tank’s firepower. The TAM mounts a 105mm gun that will make enemies twice about engaging you. Add excellent penetration values and a high rate of fire to the mix, and you’ve got a tank that will send opponents marching.

• Active scouting is the name of your game! Get out there and light up targets across the map for your teammates.
• Make the enemies panic with circle-of-death maneuvers that you’re primed to execute with your rapid-firing gun.
• Use your high reverse speed to back away from encounters with enemy heavy tanks or get out of their lines of fire.
