The first vehicle from the Iron Horizon Anniversary Pass arrives in the game on February 17. Learn all about this rocket-boosted medium tank!

After Rocket Boosters were introduced to the game in February 2025, the Chinese heavy tanks that used the mechanic took off. Literally. By activating their Rocket Boosters, the tanks could reach the front line with amazing speed by heavy tank standards; they could also fall back more quickly if an encounter got too dangerous.

Now, we’ve put Rocket Boosters on a medium tank.

The latest Premium tank for World War II mode is ready to blast straight into battle. Catch it while you can: it’s the Chinese Tier IX DZT-159 Medium Tank!

Gameplay Tips

The Rocket Boosters on the DZT-159 operate a little differently from those you might have encountered on our Booster-equipped Chinese heavy tanks:

• They have seven uses.
• They provide a greater boost to engine power (270%).
• They provide a greater boost to top speed (70%).
• They last only half as long (five seconds).

So, plan accordingly, put those short but incredible bursts of speed to good use, and set yourself up to fire the 122mm gun on the DZT-159 to the greatest effect.

• Use the Rocket Boosters to claim an optimal position early in the match or to get out of harm’s way.
• Try to keep your hull hidden. The DZT-159 has over 300mm of turret armor, so it’s built to play the hull-down game well.
• Play close to the front line to support your team’s heavy tanks. The 440 alpha damage on this tank’s gun will tell your team that you’ve got their backs… and you won’t have to say a word.

How to Get the DZT-159

The DZT-159 is the first of the three tanks from the Iron Horizon Anniversary Pass to come into the game!

• If you have already purchased an Anniversary Pass and completed Stage 105 by the time the DZT-159 is released on February 17, you will receive the tank the first time you log in on or after the 17th.
• If you 1) purchase the Anniversary Pass and 2) complete Stage 105 anytime between February 17 and the end of the season on April 7, you’ll receive the DZT-159 upon login after both of those conditions are met.

You can purchase the Anniversary Pass at the same time as the Iron Horizon Ultimate Season Pass or as a separate upgrade after purchasing the Ultimate Season Pass. Either way, it’s a stellar deal that gives you the chance to earn not only the DZT-159 but also two more brand-new Premium tanks throughout the season!
