We know. There’s nothing we can do to stop you. Nothing we can do to dull your curiosity about these… these wretched souls, these unnatural creatures, these Awakened Monster Tanks.

Very well. If you’re going to go out there, then you’d best go well prepared and fully informed.

Monster Mash, our annual Halloween event, is back for two full weeks starting Tuesday, October 24th. And this year, you’ll do battle on three haunted maps: Dead City, Grim Graveyard, and the all-new Hell’s Highway!

What is Monster Mash?

Monster Mash is our unique Halloween-themed game mode that brings out the beast in each Monster Tank.

During this event, players who have earned a Monster Tank through the Monster Hunter Challenge or purchased a Monster Tank at any time will also have the Awakened version of that tank in their garages.

You can enter Monster Mash from the game’s main menu (the same one you use to select World War II or Cold War mode).

In battle, your Monster Tank will possess otherworldly abilities unlike anything you’ve encountered in standard matches! And be careful—over the years, we’ve learned that the creatures that lurk there don’t take kindly to being disturbed.

What should I know about Monster Mash battles?

Here are the fine details:

• All Monster Tanks earn x2 Commander XP.
• Tanks can use any Commander you wish.
• The matches are 7v7 Multiplayer matches.
• Ammunition is free.
• Repairs are free.
• Free XP cannot be earned.
• Silver can be earned.
• Vehicle XP can be earned.
• You can use Consumables but will pay to resupply them.
• Awakened Monster Tanks cannot be customized with Camo, Emblems, Inscriptions, or Flags.
• Awakened Monster Tanks cannot be resold.

What’s this about a new map?

Those weren’t just the whispers of the restless dead you heard. It’s true: new to the Monster Mash rotation for 2023 is Hell’s Highway, a horror-plagued version of the Highway map, 1000x1000 m in size, where portals open from the skies above and a ghastly green mist creeps across the ground below!

Do I get anything special from Monster Mash mode?

You mean, aside from the thrill of devastating your enemies with scarab swarms, lightning strikes, fireballs, or any of the other incredible Awakened Monster Tank powers?

Yes! There are three additional reasons that you might be tempted to tear into Monster Mash, despite the dire risks you face by cavorting with such beasts:

• Awakened Monster Tanks have a 300% Commander XP earn rate. This stacks with the x2 Commander XP bonus that you get from playing your Monster Tanks through November 6th, which makes for some unbelievable earnings! It’s the perfect time to train your Commanders, especially if you’ve welcomed “Steven” or the Curse of Ozymandias into your ranks this year.
  
  
• Any Monster Tank you’ve purchased from the Store since October 17th (including this year’s two new tanks) can earn Monster Drops by playing in Monster Mash. Not sure what Monster Drops are? Take a look here!
  
  
• We’ve added a new, Monster Mash-only Challenge for 2023 that will reward you with points toward the Soldiers of Fortune season, so you don’t have to sacrifice (ha!) your season progress just to have a little fun. Take a look below!

What if I don’t own a Monster Tank?

There’s something lurking in your garage, Commander: During the event, all players will have access to The Spectre, a terrifying tank that rises from the grave each year to haunt the Halloween maps.

The Spectre will be available in your garage for free and can be used only in Monster Mash.

Do I get to keep the Awakened Monster Tank?

The Awakened form of your Monster Tank will disappear from your garage and return to the grim underdark with the server restart on Tuesday, November 7th. Your regular, unawakened Monster Tank will remain in your garage for you to unleash devastation with throughout the year.
