An exciting collaboration with a famous anime IP, a new tank line, a thematic Hero Commander, and special offers await players!

April 23rd, 2024 – World of Tanks Modern Armor unveils an array of Japanese-themed content for players, featuring a new line of Japanese tank destroyers, the thematic Hero Commander Gunpei Takeda, and an eagerly anticipated collaboration with the beloved anime series Girls und Panzer.

The highly regarded anime franchise Girls und Panzer makes its return to World of Tanks Modern Armor, this time bringing even more content for players to enjoy. From April 30th through May 6th, special bundles will be available for console players featuring the Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. H Girls und Panzer Premium tank, the Anglerfish Team crew, tank customization items, and more.

In the anime series, the Panzer IV is operated by Oarai Girls Academy’s Team Anglerfish, which is commanded by Miho Nishizumi. In the game, the Pz.Kpfw IV Ausf. H Girls und Panzer is a Tier V German medium tank. Also, tankers can recruit the entire Anglerfish Team as 2D Standard Commanders. This includes Miho Nishizumi (with unique voiceover provided by the anime series’ original voice actress), Hana Isuzu, Mako Reizei, Saori Takebe and Yukari Akiyama. Alongside this, there will be plenty of cosmetics offered to players, such as a Miho Pin-Up Emblem, a Kuromorimine Girls’ High School Emblem, a Team Anglerfish Emblem, a "Panzer Vor!" Inscription, and much more.

All players will also be able to claim a free Starter Pack that includes six IP-related Emblems, an Inscription, and three days of Premium Account time.

The Release of a New Japanese Tech Tree Line

Starting on April 30th, World of Tanks Modern Armor players will find a new line of Japanese vehicles, marking the first inclusion of tank destroyers in the game’s Japanese Tech Tree for World War II mode. Tankers will be able to command eight iconic Japanese vehicles that build on the introduction of the Tier VIII Premium tank destroyer, Type 5 Ka-Ri, which arrived in the game as part of the Tigers Season Pass. The new Japanese Tech Tree Line includes:

• Tier III: Type 5 Ho-Ru
• Tier IV: Ho-Ni I
• Tier V: Type 3 Ho-Ni III
• Tier VI: Type 95 Ji-Ro
• Tier VII: Chi-To SP
• Tier VIII: Ho-Ri II
• Tier IX: Ho-Ri I
• Tier X: Ho-Ri III

A perfect fit for these tanks is the esteemed Hero Commander Gunpei Takeda, inspired by Japan’s legendary samurai. Gunpei Takeda comes with three customizable skill slots unlocked and earns Commander XP at a +30% bonus rate. Tankers can obtain Gunpei Takeda with the purchase of a Tigers Ultimate Season Pass, available through May 20th.

Moreover, players can explore the rich culture and architecture of Japan with eleven new garage gear items, such as the Taiko Drum, Torii Gate, Bonsai Tree, and more.

Tank Wheel: Golden Week 2024

Through May 6th, the Tank Wheel returns, giving players opportunities to win fantastic in-game content with every spin of the wheel.

Playing Multiplayer battles, logging in to the Tank Wheel website, and watching the game’s social media accounts for special posts are just some of the ways that players can earn Golden and Silver tickets. These tickets allow players to spin the Tank Wheel and win prizes, including Gold, days of Premium Account, Commander War Chests, and even Premium tanks. Players can earn more tickets every day that the Tank Wheel is live.
