Elite Leveling: How It Works
AUG. 3, 2026
NEWS

The Elite Level system allows players to continue progressing with a vehicle after it has achieved Elite Status.

Eligible Tank XP earned with the vehicle contributes toward its Elite Level, allowing players to showcase their experience and dedication to playing that vehicle.

Elite Levels are cosmetic and provide no gameplay or combat advantages.

What Counts Toward Elite Levels?

Once a vehicle is eligible to earn Elite Levels, Tank XP will count from regular PvP battles in:

  • World War II
  • Cold War

Tank XP earned through the following modes will not contribute toward Elite Levels:

  • Co-op battles
  • Event battles

When Does Elite Level Progression Begin?

Elite Level progression begins once a vehicle has achieved Elite Status.

How this works depends on whether the vehicle is a Premium vehicle or a Tech Tree vehicle.

Premium Vehicles

Premium vehicles already have Elite Status.

This means eligible Tank XP earned from the vehicle’s first regular PvP battle will contribute toward its Elite Level.

Tank XP earned through Co-op or Event battles will not count.

Premium Vehicle Example:

A player completes their first battle in a Premium vehicle.

Because the Premium vehicle already has Elite Status:

  • Tank XP earned through regular PvP battles will immediately contribute toward its Elite Level.
  • Tank XP earned through Co-op or Event battles will not contribute toward its Elite Level.

Tech Tree Vehicles

Tech Tree vehicles must first achieve Elite Status before they can begin earning Elite Levels.

Players can use any available battle mode, including PvP or Co-op, to:

  • Research the vehicle.
  • Unlock its required upgrades.
  • Achieve Elite Status.

The game mode used to research and Elite the vehicle does not matter.

However, Tank XP earned before the vehicle achieves Elite Status will not contribute toward Elite Levels.

Once the vehicle has achieved Elite Status, only Tank XP earned through regular PvP battles will contribute toward its Elite Level.

Tech Tree Vehicle Example:

A Tech Tree vehicle requires 20,000 Tank XP to research its required upgrades and achieve Elite Status.

The player earns that 20,000 Tank XP through a mixture of PvP Multiplayer and Co-op battles.

Once the vehicle achieves Elite Status, its Elite Level progression begins.

From that point:

  • Tank XP earned through regular PvP Multiplayer battles will count.
  • Tank XP earned through Co-op battles will not count.
  • Tank XP earned through Event battles will not count.
  • The Tank XP previously earned while researching the vehicle will not be added to its Elite Level.
