Break through with Britain’s dual-barrel heavies in World War II mode!
The battlefield is about to echo with a thunderous double report. A brand-new line of British heavy tanks is rolling into World War II mode, bringing innovative dual-barrel firepower and classic UK resilience to the front lines.
This new Tech Tree branch introduces four new vehicles designed to combine solid armor, respectable mobility, and unmatched firing flexibility.
British engineers approached heavy tank design with a unique twist: two guns are better than one. These dual-barrel heavies allow commanders to adapt to any situation, whether that means carefully placing single shots or unleashing devastating double strikes when the moment is right.
Adding to their distinctive look, these tanks feature animated muzzle caps that open and close to clearly indicate their current firing mode. Watch closely: open caps on both barrels mean a double shot is ready.
Also, similar to the FV225 released earlier this year, both guns must be loaded to fire. This applies to both Single Fire and Double Shot modes.
This new branch starts at Tier VII, branching off from the Tier VI Churchill VII, and continues all the way to Tier X.
Tier VII - FV224 Chopper
Tier VIII - FV227 Conceiver
Tier IX - FV229 Contender
Tier X - FV230 Canopener
The Dual-Barrel Heavies Tech Tree Line will be available in the game starting on January 13. Read on to know more about each tank!

- XP Cost: 143,600
- Silver Cost: 1,500,000
Background Information
A project for a heavy coastal defense tank developed by the UK immediately after World War II. Two guns on the turret combined with a panoramic reticle and an optical rangefinder would presumably enable the tank to fight on equal terms against amphibious assault support ships. Wide tracks, in turn, were supposed to ensure good crossing capacity. However, due to unreliable and complex suspension, guns of insufficient caliber, and a lack of nuclear protection, the project was terminated.

- XP Cost: 140,000
- Silver Cost: 2,700,000
Background Information
A project for the FV227 Conceiver tank, which developed a concept for assault tanks that emphasized counteracting enemy vehicles rather than fortifications. The vehicle's primary purpose was reinforcement of the versatile Centurion tanks in battle. It was planned to equip the FV227 Conceiver with two identical high-caliber guns. The guns could be fired alternately or in salvo. Virtually all developed countries in the world were attempting to develop a tank with a double-barreled gun system, but not one of these projects entered production.

Tank: FV229 Contender
- Tier: IX
- Class: Heavy
- XP Cost: 240,000
- Silver Cost: 3,600,000
Background Information
A heavy coastal defense tank developed in the late 1950s as part of a corresponding program. It was chiefly designed for effective defense against the Soviet Army, which was expected to land on the English Channel shore during wartime. The tank was planned to be equipped with a double-barreled gun system able to cause guaranteed damage to light LSTs and amphibious vehicles, as well as fight tanks on the coast. Its armor, in turn, was supposed to ensure protection not only from tank ammunition but also from naval artillery supporting the landing. The project remained in blueprints.

Tank: FV230 Canopener
- Tier: X
- Class: Heavy
- XP Cost: 360,000
- Silver Cost: 6,100,000
Background Information:
A project for a heavy coastal defense tank developed in the UK in the late 1950s as part of a program of coastal defense against suspected maritime landings. Impressive firepower, excellent armoring including strong sloped hull armor, and decent mobility made the vehicle a formidable opponent in combat against landing vessels. The gun was equipped with a mechanism comprising movable covers on the muzzle breaks to protect the bore from moisture. During the tank's development it became clear that anti-ship missiles would be the future of maritime battles and not artillery guns. As a result, the project was deemed to have no prospects and was discontinued before a prototype was built.
