The player-favorite event is back to celebrate top performers in specific categories each month with an exclusive Medal and Emblem. Check out April’s criteria!

You, the community, requested it, and now it’s here: Battle Heroes is back—with an exciting twist!

Once a weekly event, Battle Heroes now returns as a monthly celebration that will feature dedicated portal articles and a special Medal.

Early each month going forward, we’ll reveal the specific criteria that will determine the Heroes for the month, giving all players a chance to compete for glory. All nations, all tiers, all classes are possible—everyone has a shot!

But that’s not all. Those who earn the Battle Hero Medal will also receive an exclusive Battle Hero Emblem to showcase on their accounts!

How Do You Participate?

It’s simple! Play your hardest in Multiplayer (PvP) battles throughout the month, in tanks from the nation/class/tier(s) specified. If you stand out in the selected category, you could be chosen as one of the eight Battle Heroes for that month.

And yes, you can possibly be named a Battle Hero more than once!

But becoming a Battle Hero is a rare and prestigious achievement—only 96 players per full calendar year will claim this Medal and Emblem! Will you be one of them?

Featured Tanks for April 2025

For this month’s challenge, Battle Heroes heads to World War II mode: we’re focusing on Japanese heavy tanks from Tier III to Tier X.

The top performer in each of the following eight categories will earn the Battle Hero Medal (updated on April 8th):

• Most Damage Dealt in a Single Battle
• Most Kills in a Single Battle
• Most Damage Blocked in a Single Battle
• Most Spotting Assist Damage in a Single Battle
• Most Track Assist Damage in a Single Battle
• Most Enemies Spotted in a Single Battle
• Most Medals Earned in a Single Battle
• Most Base Free XP Earned in a Single Battle

Important points:

• The top performers in each category will be selected based on in-game stats achieved during the timeframe of April 1 00:01 UTC – April 30 23:59 UTC.
• April’s Battle Heroes will first be announced during the World of Tanks Modern Armor livestream on Friday, May 2nd, at 19:00 UTC. Join us on Twitch or YouTube!
• They will also be announced in a portal article to be published the week of May 6th.
• May’s categories and featured tanks will also be announced in the portal article to be published the week of May 6th.
• Battle Heroes Medals and Emblems will be credited at the time of the article publication, if not before.
