The Refer a Tanker program is a component of the Tanker Rewards program. It allows players to earn in-game content and Tanker Rewards points by signing up as either Recruits or Recruiters and completing battle milestones.

Below are answers to detailed questions about how the program works. For a general Refer a Tanker overview, please see the program announcement.

Recruits

Who is eligible to become a Recruit?

The following player accounts qualify for Recruit status:

• All newly created accounts with 0 battles played
• All existing accounts that have not played a battle in two consecutive calendar months
• All existing accounts that have fewer than 100 qualifying battles completed
  

What is a qualifying battle?

Not every battle counts as a qualifying battle. A qualifying battle is a player vs. player or multiplayer battle in which a player earns the minimum tank tier XP required.

For World War II game mode, the minimum XP per tank tier is as follows:

• Tank Tier I: at least 45 XP
• Tank Tier II: at least 60 XP
• Tank Tier III: at least 70 XP
• Tank Tier IV: at least 80 XP
• Tank Tier V: at least 100 XP
• Tank Tier VI: at least 120 XP
• Tank Tier VII: at least 140 XP
• Tank Tier VIII: at least 160 XP
• Tank Tier IX: at least 160 XP
• Tank Tier X: at least 160 XP

For Cold War game mode, all Cold War vehicles across the three eras will have the same minimum XP requirement of 160 XP per battle.

How do I become a Recruit?

To become a Recruit, a player must be associated with another player who serves as the Recruiter. There are two ways for a player to sign up as a Recruit:

1. A Recruiter can send the player an invite URL that will take the player to the “Recruit” page in the Tanker Rewards section of the website portal.
2. The player can add a Recruiter’s name manually on the “Recruit” page (or on the sign-up page if they are a new user who has not yet created a World of Tanks Modern Armor account).

If a user who has not created a World of Tanks Modern Armor account uses a Referral URL from a Recruiter, they will be directed to a sign-up page with the Recruiter’s name automatically filled in on the page.

Players with an existing World of Tanks Modern Armor account who receive an invite URL will see the Recruiter’s name automatically filled in on their “Recruit” page.

How do I earn points and rewards as a Recruit?

Recruits make progress toward battle milestones by playing in qualifying battles, either in a Platoon with their Recruiter or without their Recruiter.

Recruits must achieve at least the minimum amount of base vehicle XP per battle in order to earn progress towards their milestones.

What points and rewards will I earn?

Below are the points and rewards available for each Recruit battle milestone:

What happens after I complete all my Recruit milestones?

After playing 100 qualifying battles and completing all Recruit milestones, a Recruit then will automatically become a Recruiter. However, in order to take advantage of Recruiter benefits, the player will need to invite friends into the program and play Platoon battles with them as their Recruiter.

The player is free to choose not to take advantage of Recruiter benefits. Players who are eligible to be Recruiters can also select to close their account to recruitment on their “Invite” page if they do not want to allow other players to manually add them.

The player will still have access to their “Recruit” page, where they can see the milestones they completed. They will also still appear as a Recruit to their original Recruiter and will still earn Recruiter benefits for their original Recruiter unless they choose to end the relationship.

Can I remove my Recruiter?

Yes. Recruits are able to remove their Recruiter whenever they choose to do so using the “Recruit” page in the Tanker Rewards section of the website portal. If a player is still eligible for Recruit status, they can also add a new Recruiter.

What happens if I lose or remove my Recruiter?

If a Recruit removes or loses their Recruiter and does not add a new one, they can still earn progress, points, and rewards for Recruit milestones until the end of that month.

The following month, they would need to add a Recruiter in order to continue earning rewards if they still have not completed their milestones. If they do not add a Recruiter, they risk becoming qualified to be a Recruiter without receiving all Recruit milestone rewards.

Recruiters

Who is eligible to become a Recruiter?

To become a Recruiter, a player must meet all of the following criteria:

• Must have played a minimum of 100 qualifying battles
• Must have played within the last two consecutive calendar months
• Must have no Recruiter or have completed all of their Recruit milestones
  

How do I become a Recruiter?

Once a player meets the criteria above, the system automatically detects that they are eligible to be a Recruiter. The “Recruiter” page in the Tanker Rewards section of the website portal will show the player’s Recruiter status.

From that section of the portal, the Recruiter also can send invites to other users to become Recruits.

How many Recruits can a Recruiter have?

Recruiters can have up to ten Recruits at a time.

How do I earn points and rewards as a Recruiter?

Recruiters make progress toward battle milestones only by playing in qualifying Platoon battles with their Recruits. Battles played without Recruits do not count toward milestone progress.

Recruiters must achieve at least the minimum amount of base vehicle XP per battle in order to earn progress towards their Platoon battle milestones.

If I play a single battle with more than one Recruit in a Platoon, will that count for multiple Platoon battles?

If a Recruiter plays a Platoon battle with more than one Recruit, it will be considered one single Platoon battle.

What happens after I complete all my Recruiter milestones?

After playing 100 qualifying battles and completing all Recruiter milestones, a Recruiter can continue to earn points and rewards as follows:

• Every 100 Platoon battles played with Recruits after the first 100 will earn the Recruiter one Classified Key Card and five Tanker Rewards points.
• Every time a Recruit passes a milestone, the Recruiter will receive two Tanker Rewards points.
• After a Recruit completes their first 100 battles and has finished their milestones, the Recruiter will get two Tanker Rewards points for every additional 100 battles the Recruit plays.
• The Recruiter will earn anywhere from one to five Tanker Rewards points from a Recruit’s Gold or Key Card purchases, depending on how much the Recruit spends.

Can I remove a Recruit?

Yes. Recruiters are able to remove any of their Recruits whenever they choose to do so using the “Recruiter” page in the Tanker Rewards section of the website portal.

What happens if I lose or remove a Recruit, or a Recruit removes me?

If a Recruit removes a Recruiter and adds a new one during the same month, the original Recruiter that was removed may see a loss of Tanker Rewards points and Recruiter Platoon milestone progress at the end of the month.

General Questions for Both Recruits and Recruiters

How will the points I earn affect my Tanker Rewards progress?

Every point earned from the Refer a Tanker program goes into both Monthly and Yearly progress.

How often can I check my milestone progress?

Recruit and Recruiter milestone progress updates once a day, similar to Tanker Rewards progress.

When will I get my rewards for completing milestones?

Rewards for Recruit and Recruiter milestones are awarded at the beginning of the following month, similar to rewards for Tanker Rewards. Each milestone reward is only awarded once after your goal is completed.

What happens if I stop playing the game for a while?

If a player becomes inactive (has not played a battle in the last two consecutive calendar months), they will automatically drop all Recruit or Recruiter associations, and milestone progress will be reset.
