Time to go wild! Get themed Commanders, Garage Gear, and MORE with these special chests.
Summer ain’t the time to follow the rules. It’s a time to get out there and mix things up—and nobody embodies that idea quite like the new mercenary-inspired Commanders you’ll find in this year’s Summer War Chests!
Every Summer War Chest will grant you random drops, with the possibilities including 2D Standard Commanders (which you can customize with Skills), Garage Gear, Gold, and even Premium Tanks. Each Chest will give you a value equivalent to the Gold price of the chest, if not more.
Summer War Chests are available in bundles of 1 Summer War Chest ($1.49), 4 Summer War Chests ($5.99), 11 Summer War Chests ($14.99), and 30 Summer War Chests ($36.99).

We can’t share all the information that we have on this crew of misfits in our classified files—we have the game’s rating to consider, you know—but we’ve made enough of their stories available to help you plan which ones you can look forward to in your drops.
Remember, you can get these Commanders only in Summer War Chests!
Summer War Chests – 2D Commanders
Arthur This operative is all smiles… unless you get between him and his mission. |
Beth Taking down tanks won’t pay as much as leading hunting expeditions for the world’s elites, but at least she won’t have to register her trophies. |
Brittany Whether engaging in close-quarters combat or training her beloved Rottweiler, Tiny, Brittany understands the importance of control. |
Christina Three items that Christina collects while traveling as a mercenary: information, firearms, and local recipes. With her skills, each can be lethal. |
Dutchess Elegance. Radiance. Finesse. All that's out the window in war, which is why as a fighter, Dutchess ranks among the elites. Never seen without her signature shades. |
General Wolfe General Wolfe is a seasoned veteran who’s done it all. Even the rowdiest operatives see him as a father figure, as he’s always the first to take a new recruit under his wing and pass along all that he's learned. |
Ha-yoon She could have followed her father into the mercenary business, but Ha-yoon found it easier to simply… take over instead. |
Jiaying Jiaying is a ghost, a whisper, a legend. None have crossed her path and lived to tell the tale. |
Kennedy For a while, getting voted “Best Hair” all four years of high school made Kennedy feel that he was enough. Then he earned top military honors. |
Kitsune He could have pursued politics after retirement, but Kitsune chose a dirtier path: the life of a freelance operative. |
Knockout After firing her MMA trainer for being too gentle, Knockout changed course and took on the life of a freelance operative. Favorite food: peas. A big, frozen bag of ‘em. |
Leonard Trouble never stays in one place. Fortunately, neither does Leonard—especially if you’re paying for his expertise by the mile. |
Li Li doesn't say much; he prefers to let his battle prowess do the talking. Makes a mean kimchi. |
Madison Exacting, regimented, and disciplined. Is a by-the-books mercenary a thing? |
Maria Rumor says that Maria has liberated twelve small towns from criminals since the age of 15. Rumor underestimates her. |
Marsden Seen it all. Too old for this nonsense. |
Mouse Off-grid and on-point, Mouse received survivalist training from her Grandmaw that rivalled the toughest military instruction. |
Mr. Fuse He’d be doing this even if you weren't paying him. You gotta love your work, after all. |
Natasha Even a former spy can have a sense of humor. Natasha’s favorite weapon: a shotgun she named “Boris.” |
Nigel Decades in the finest desert markets taught Nigel that no matter the resource, there’s a way to get it. Loves Earl Grey tea. Hates sand. |
Noel Give a kid some ham radio equipment for his fifth birthday, and he just might become a communications engineering expert. |
Randy Grows his own coffee beans and teaches improv at a local theater. Randy got into the mercenary business because he wanted a hobby. |
Ratchet Ratchet comes from a long line of mechanics. No matter the engine, she can make it run. Just don't call her a grease monkey. |
“Shooty” Mike Carries a dozen explosive devices on his person at any given moment. Used to rig pyrotechnics for rock concerts and birthday parties. |
Striker She trains hard and hits harder. If you ever catch Striker laughing, you might want to get out of her way. |
The Pale Baron Some of the world’s most valuable artifacts have imperfections that make them unique. Only The Pale Baron knows how deeply his scars run and what they cost him. |
Tom All Tom wanted was a quiet retirement, flying seaplane tours over the Everglades. Then the wife told him he needed to get out more. |
Valentine Go ahead. Try to find another operative who can field strip a standard issue rifle in ten seconds. Valentine will just take care of a few other things while she waits. |
Vanessa Cosmetics, pyrotechnics—both are matters of chemistry, really, and Vanessa can achieve explosive results with either. |
Vassili Once Vassili has chosen a path, nothing short of a tank will deter him from it… and even the tank might run into some problems. |
Xavier A former survival operations officer, Xavier knows forty ways to use a rope, six of which he’s willing to trust you with. |
Xiuying You don’t want just any operative firing your large-caliber guns. You want someone quick, confident, and decisive. You want Xiuying. |
