Technical issues can happen, and the Player Support team is here to help. However, there are a few steps that you can take to solve most problems.
Basic Connection Troubleshooting
Many cases can be resolved by entirely restarting your PS4 and your modem.
- Turn off your modem and disconnect the PS4 from the Internet for 10 minutes.
- Unplug the Ethernet cable from the console, if present.
- Once this is done, turn on the modem and connect your PS4 to the Internet.
- Make sure all players have logged out of the PS4 and do a full shutdown.
This process resets the modem and internet setup and provides a full reboot of the console.
Should the issue continue, test your internet connection:
- Go to [Settings] > [Network] > [Test Internet Connection]
- Check the list of ports below based on your PlayStation console or service.
- PlayStation Now - UDP Port: 2053
- TCP: 80, 443, 3478, 3479, 3480
- UDP: 3478, 3479
- Make sure to enable these TCP/UDP ports in BOTH directions and that they are entered into the TCP and UDP port fields in your modem.
- Make sure that you have a Nat setting of 1 or 2.
If you see no error on your console, contact Player Support and provide the following information:
- NAT Type
- Connection Speed (Download)
