Technical issues can happen, and the Player Support team is here to help. However, there are a few steps that you can take to solve most problems.
Basic Connection Troubleshooting
Many cases can be resolved by entirely restarting your Xbox and your modem:
- Turn off your modem and disconnect the Xbox from the Internet for 10 minutes.
- Unplug the Ethernet cable from the console, if present.
- Once this is done, turn on the modem and connect your Xbox to the Internet.
- Go to [Settings] > [Power & Startup] > [Turn off or restart] > Select [Restart].
This process resets the modem and internet setup and provides a full reboot of the console.
Should the issue continue, test your internet connection:
- Go to [Settings] > [Network] > [Network settings]
- On the right, you will see [Troubleshooting]. Start with the top one and work your way down.
If you see no error on your console, contact Player Support and provide the following information:
- NAT Type
- Connection Speed (Download)
- Connection Speed (Upload)
- MTU
- UPnP
